Stella and her sisters, Millie and Ruby, were found next to a river when they were only tiny puppies. Someone had dumped them there. My friend and I were simply in the right place at the right time, because if we hadn’t found them, I highly doubt they would have survived. They were incredibly weak, and once they arrived at the vet, the reason became clear: all three puppies had parvo. Against all odds, every one of them pulled through. The tiny puppies we found by the river grew into the happy, healthy little girls they are today. And while Ruby found her happily ever after, Stella and Millie are still waiting for theirs.
