I’ll never forget the day we found Cookie. To be honest, it was one of the most heartbreaking moments of my life. These tiny babies were only a few days old days old when they were dumped on the side of the road next to a garbage pile. Cookie even still had parts of her umbilical chord on her little belly 💔😭 What she also had there: deep holes, filled with thousands of tiny maggots. The tiny babies were just screaming in pain and crying for their mum. I still get goosebumps thinking about it. We were in a rather rural area and there was no help nearby so Cookie and her siblings had to go on a long journey to see a proper vet. One of her siblings eventually passed away and even though I always try to stay hopeful, I didn’t think they could we would make it to the vet in time. And even if, chances of survival were rather low. But these strong little fighters didn’t give up and survived! …and not only this, if you see her now you would never believe that she had such a sad past. This girl is just a ray of sunshine and loves everyone she meets. Dog- and human friends. No matter how big or small 🥰 Cookie was deprived of her mum right after birth, now this miracle girl is ready to find a new “mum” who will take care of her for the rest of her life.
